Dear Neighbor,

I’ve been privileged to serve as your representative on the Irvine City Council in these times of great challenge – and great progress – for our City.

I’m seeking another term on the Irvine City Council to continue our important civic work together, and to make sure that Irvine is always America’s Safest, Smartest and Greenest City.

I’ve been fortunate to be part of a City Council that has continued to produce a record of truly extraordinary achievement. According to the FBI, Irvine is America’s safest city – for the sixth year in a row. We have outstanding “smart” schools, beautiful residential neighborhoods, and a strong record of business and job development.

Even in these tough economic times, we continue to move forward…with balanced budgets, excellent municipal services, and no new taxes.

In recent years, we defeated the County’s dangerous plan for a noisy, polluting international airport at El Toro and replaced it, instead, with our own plan for the Orange County Great Park. As Chair of the Great Park Corporation, I’ve been pushing the Great Park forward, even in the face of what has been a deep national economic downturn.

As successful as we have been, our future isn’t guaranteed. We need strong, consistent, proven leadership on our City Council.

This election is important. Your vote is important. I hope I can count on your support. Let’s keep Irvine moving forward…in a positive direction!

Thank you,
